Competition Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 23 March 2026
1. Promoter and eligibility
- These terms apply to all competitions listed by Cult Comps.
- Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over.
- Employees, direct contractors, and close family members may be excluded.
2. How to enter
“The Promoter” means Cult Comps.
When each competition runs
Each competition’s start and end are shown on this Website. We call the start the “Opening Date” and the end the “Closing Date”. Any reference to time or date on the Website or in these terms uses the timezone for London, United Kingdom.
The Promoter may postpone or bring forward the Opening Date or Closing Date where reasonably necessary. Updated dates will be published on the Website. The Closing Date will not be extended only to generate additional paid entries.
Entries must reach the Promoter by the time shown for the Closing Date. Entries received after that time may be void with no refund.
Caps on entries
Caps (overall and per entrant) appear on the competition page. Once a cap is hit, further entries may be refused.
You may enter again until you hit any per-person cap or the competition sells out. Each free postal entry must be sent separately. If multiple entries arrive together as one “bulk” submission, the Promoter may treat them as a single entry. Overall caps still apply.
Entering online
Our competitions test skill or knowledge: you must answer the question correctly. To buy entries online you should:
- open the competition on the Website;
- choose your answer and how many entries you want;
- finish checkout and submit any required registration details; and
- pay successfully — you will receive an order confirmation.
You may repeat these steps until you reach any per-person limit or the competition is full.
Entries must be in English. Entries in other languages may be void with no refund.
For paid routes, the Promoter aims to confirm your entry and ticket number(s) after payment. Free postal entries are handled differently (see below).
The Promoter is not liable for entries that fail to complete, go missing, or arrive late — including because of internet outages, device issues, hosting problems, payment provider errors, or anything outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.
Buying an entry creates a contract between you and the Promoter on these terms.
Free entry by post
You may request a free entry by ordinary post, subject to the rules below. Postal free entries must be sent to:
Web Applications Limited, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, England, WC2H 9JQ
- Write your entry by hand on a single postcard (not inside an envelope). Post it with Royal Mail first- or second-class post only.
- Entries dropped off in person at the address will not be accepted.
- On the postcard, clearly include:
- your full legal name;
- your postal address;
- a phone number and email address we can use to contact you; and
- which named competition on the Website you are entering.
- Entries that are incomplete or unreadable may be void.
- Limit: one free postal entry per person, per competition, per postcard. Several entries bundled in one envelope or package may be treated as one entry only.
- By posting an entry you confirm you meet the eligibility rules and agree to these terms.
- The postcard must arrive before the Closing Date. Entries received afterwards will not take part. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt or of being entered.
- The Promoter does not send receipts for postal entries and does not confirm whether your answer was correct before the draw.
- If the competition fills or hits a cap before your postcard arrives, your free entry may not be included.
- You must already have a registered account on the Website, and the name and contact details on the postcard must match that account. The Promoter cannot process postal entries where no matching account exists.
3. Draws and winners
- Eligible correct entries are included in the draw.
- Winners are selected randomly using a documented process.
- We aim to complete draws within 7 days of competition close unless stated otherwise.
- Winner names may be published for transparency and legal compliance.
4. Prizes
- Prize details are listed on each competition page.
- If a prize becomes unavailable, we may offer a similar or higher-value substitute, including a cash alternative where appropriate.
- Prizes are non-transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Claiming prizes
- Winners must respond within the timeframe in the winner notification.
- Identity and eligibility checks may be required before prize release.
- If a winner cannot be contacted or fails checks, we may redraw.
6. Refunds, cancellations and abuse
- Entry fees are generally non-refundable once a valid entry is submitted.
- Where a competition is canceled or voided, affected entries will be refunded.
- Fraud, manipulation, hacking attempts, chargeback abuse, or threatening behaviour may result in disqualification and account suspension.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, CultComps is not liable for indirect losses, technical disruption, or delays outside our control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Data and publicity
Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy. Winner information may be shared where needed for legal compliance and prize administration.
9. Account closure and records
You may request account closure. On closure, we remove or anonymize direct profile identifiers where possible. However, we may retain transaction and draw-related records for legal, accounting, anti-fraud and dispute purposes.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. Current terms are published on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
These terms are provided as a practical summary for users. You should obtain independent legal advice before launch to ensure full compliance for your exact business model.
